Parenthood summed up
Nathan today said something that struck me as being rather profound and representative of a parent's role in their child's life. He meant it literally but I think that it works as an analogy for all of the parenting that I have done so far and much of what I expect to do. So what did my beautiful first born say? "Mom, I need you to wipe my butt!"

Particularly as regards your extended family parenting?
Nice! Gavin will be asking for that when he's as old as Nathan? Moms really are expected to do a lot!
What does it say about me, that I prefer to do it, so I know that it has been done right? I always do everything right, don't you?
